Porto Salè

Porto Salè is one of the most relaxing areas of the island … maybe for the tranquility that offer, far away from the noise and distractions of the nightlife but at the same time close to the most interesting villages and beautiful beaches. At 200 mt there is a supermarket where you can find all you need.

Next to San Francesc (the main town of the island), very close to Cala Sahona and a few kilometers from the natural park of ses Illetes with the most fascinating beaches of the island, Porto Salè is located on a small plateau offering a breathtaking view to Es Vedrà island, where every evening you can enjoy an amaizing sunset.

It is the smallest of the Balearic Islands, known as“the Pearl of the Mediterranean sea” for its wonderful beaches and breathtaking sea. Do you know what is the secret that makes Formentera sea unique in the Mediterranean? Thanks to the Poseidonia prairies, particular aquatic plants that live only in very clear waters and also have an important key function for the marine ecosystem. In fact, they are able to create a “vegetal reef”, that protects the coast from the erosive action of the waves, holding back the sediments, to allow the finest sand to settle and perform an important water purification action .
A real submarine wood declared in 1999 by UNESCO World Heritage Site.
